Drag And Drop To Insert Orders And Locations Into Planned Routes
With Route4Me, you can effortlessly insert destinations into planned last mile routes and instantly re-optimize them. To simplify the process of adding Orders and Customer Locations to routes as new destinations, you can simply drag and drop them into planned routes at any sequence position. Keep reading to learn how to use the Routes Map and Routes Timeline to drag and drop Orders and Locations into your planned and optimized routes.
Before you can drag and drop Orders and Locations into planned routes, open the relevant tools by following these steps:
- Open the Routes Timeline and Routes Map with the buttons in the top-right.
- Click the Eye Icon next one or more routes to enable them on the map and timeline.
- Click the Sidebar Button in the map to open the Orders and Locations panel.
- Click the “Orders” or “Locations” tab to open the corresponding list.
Depending on which tab you open, the Routes Map will automatically show new pins for your Orders or Customer Locations. NOTE: The process for dragging and dropping new destinations into routes is the same for both Orders and Locations.
Then, simply click and drag any Order or Location from the list onto a route in the timeline.
Route4Me will automatically add a new destination in the corresponding sequence position, calculate travel directions, and re-optimize the route. This method provides a quick and intuitive way of adding individual Orders and Locations to specific routes.
