CO2 Emissions Statistics By Route And Vehicle

Going green seems to be a popular trend among many companies in different states due to the positive public response, constraints of their local government regulations, as well as legal and tax advantages. Thus, more and more businesses are trying to cut their CO2 emissions in various ways, from using electric or hybrid vehicles to changing the type of fuel they use. However, electric vehicles are still an expensive alternative to fuel-powered engines. Moreover, many businesses that need their vehicles to travel for long distances can’t use electric vehicles due to their limited operating range. That being said, your business doesn’t have to go green right away, but keeping track of your CO2 emissions could help you to reduce the carbon footprint your operations leave on your local and global environment. With Route4Me, you can effortlessly track how much carbon dioxide is emitted by your entire fleet, as well as by each individual fleet vehicle. Keeping track of your organization’s CO2 emissions can have a variety of practical benefits, from reducing your CO2 emissions for complying with your state’s standards to improving the image of your business in the market and making it more attractive to your customers (learn more).

To view the carbon dioxide emissions of your entire fleet, or the vehicles associated with a particular team member(s), or branch/facility, first, go to “Dashboard” from the navigation menu.

To filter the CO2 emissions information displayed in your Dashboard by a particular team member and this member’s sub-users, use the “Members Filter.” To learn more about Route4Me’s Team Hierarchy, visit this page. When filtering carbon dioxide emissions by members, the Dashboard displays the CO2 emissions of those vehicles that are assigned to the routes associated with the selected member(s). To learn more about Route4Me’s Company Fleet Visibility Settings, visit this page.

After applying the preferred filters, scroll to the “Carbon Dioxide Emissions (lbs)” section accordingly. In the “Carbon Dioxide Emissions (lbs)” section, you can view all CO2 emissions of the vehicles that are assigned to the routes scheduled for each day of the selected date range and/or associated with the selected team member(s). To view the exact lbs amount of emitted CO2 for a particular date, hover your cursor over the diagram bar that you want to check.

The amount of emitted CO2 is calculated based on the fuel type and the mpg of the vehicles assigned to the routes that are scheduled for the selected time range and associated with the selected members. NOTE: To provide you with the CO2 emissions data of your future routes, Route4Me calculates your CO2 emissions based on the total distance of each route. Thus, when you are filtering CO2 emissions by future dates, you will be able to see how much CO2 will be emitted on the corresponding future routes.
