Datalogic Memor – Route4Me On Rugged Android Mobile Computers

Enterprise mobility works best when the software is as capable as the hardware. Route4Me’s Android route planner app runs on the Datalogic Memor, a family of rugged Android PDA devices built for retail, transportation and logistics, and manufacturing. From a Memor handheld, workers can scan barcodes, follow optimized routes, and capture electronic signatures at every stop. The result is a mobility solution that connects the warehouse, the vehicle, and the customer’s door.

Datalogic Memor Mobile Computers – Android Enterprise Mobility

The Datalogic Memor is an enterprise-class PDA device that runs Android. Because Route4Me is a standard Android app, it installs on a Memor from Google Play like any other app.

Once installed, Route4Me adds route planning, optimization, and dispatch to the device, with no custom build or separate platform.

For operations already using Memor hardware, that turns existing devices into route optimization tools with no new hardware to buy.

Memor Rugged Barcode Scanner – From Dock Scan To Final Delivery

With Route4Me installed, a Memor scans orders and plans the route that delivers them. Memor devices build a 2D imager into the handheld, so a rugged barcode scanner and a route planner share one device.

On the Memor 12-17 and 30-35 models, Green Spot, Datalogic’s good-read light, confirms each scan, so loading stays accurate.

Once the vehicle is loaded, Route4Me gives the driver an optimized route and sends dispatch updates to the same device. IP-rated construction keeps that workflow running through a full shift.

Choosing a Memor starts with where the work happens. The Memor 30-35 suits warehouses and docks, the slimmer Memor 12-17 fits front-facing retail and healthcare work, and the compact Memor K20-25 adds a physical keypad.

The table below lists each model, including which ones add 5G to keep drivers connected to Route4Me on the road.

Courier, Retail & Logistics – Route Optimization By Industry

The Memor serves industries that move goods, from retail to transportation and logistics. In each of these industries, the Memor captures the data and Route4Me turns it into an efficient route. Here are four common examples:

  • Courier and parcel: Scan parcels at the dock, then follow an optimized route and capture a signature at every door.
  • Retail: Plan delivery routes from stores and distribution centers in seconds.
  • Warehouse and distribution: Load vehicles by route, then dispatch drivers with their routes already on the device.
  • Field service: Guide technicians through scheduled visits and document each one with proof of visit.

Together, the Memor’s enterprise-class hardware and Route4Me’s route optimization turn one handheld into a complete workstation for scanning, routing, and proof of delivery.
