Route4Me Plugin for the Magento E-Commerce Platform
The route optimization plugin for Magento allows you to make deliveries from Magento with just a few clicks. To be able to use the Route4Me plugin for the Magento e-commerce platform, make sure that you have the Dynamic E-Commerce Order Dispatch add-on enabled on your Route4Me account.

Installing and Setting Up the Plugin
The “Orders to Route4Me” extension integrates with Magento 2. To install the extension you need to take the following steps:
Install Route4Me extension by uploading the package to the following directory:
path_to_the_store_root_folder/app/code/R4M. If there is no “/code” or “/R4M” directory, create them manually under “path_to_the_store_root_folder/app” directory
In the SSH console of your server navigate to your store root folder: cd path_to_the_store_root_folder
Run the following command: php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade
Now run the following command: php -f bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
Flush store cache; log out from the back-end and log in again
To use the plugin, you’ll need to insert your Route4Me API key. Go to “Stores”, then click “Configuration.”
Open the ”Sales” tab and click “Route4Me.”
Insert your API key and click on “Save Config.”
If you need to retrieve your API key, login to your Route4Me account and click “My account”, then “API.”
This section also has a couple of additional configuration settings. “Auto send to Route4Me” allows you to choose whether every processed order gets sent to Route4Me automatically or not.
“Alias for Route4Me” sets the naming format of the orders which are sent to Route4Me.
Sending an Order to Route4Me
Access the “Orders” screen by clicking “Sales” → “Orders.”
On the “Orders” screen, you’ll be able to see the Route4Me status of each order.
Each order you send to Route4Me also displays the Route4Me logo.
Clicking this button will bring up the Route4Me order details.
Click on the order to open it.
Select “Route4Me” in the “Order View” list.
Select a date in the calendar.
Finally, click “Add to Route4Me.”
The system will notify you that your order has been successfully added.
You can check your Route4Me account to verify that an order has been added successfully. Copy the name of the order and paste it in the search bar of your Route4Me orders section.
Right-click on the order and select “Edit” to open it.
Here you can view and edit all available customer details.
Sending Orders to Route4Me in Bulk
To do a bulk export, click on the checkboxes next to the orders you want to export. You can also select multiple orders at once by clicking on the drop-down list in the header and choosing “Select All“ or “Select All on This Page.”
Click “Actions” → “Send to Route4Me.”
Schedule the order by selecting a date in the calendar, then click “Submit.”
The system will notify you if there are any orders with invalid addresses. Those addresses need to be exported individually.
After exporting your orders from the store, you can use them to plan a new route.
Using the Built-in Geocoder
The Route4Me for Magento plugin features a built-in geocoder, which allows you to accurately determine the correct address for each order.
If your customer types in an incorrect address, the system will notify you that there are multiple options available to choose from. Open the order for which the address is incorrect and click on the “Select address” drop-down to view all available options.
Select the correct address from the suggestion list.
Finally, select a date for the order, then click “Add to Route4Me.”
Now you can add this order to a route and make a successful delivery.
