Hours of Service (HoS) refers to the limits placed on how long a driver or field team member may drive and work before they are required to rest.
Captured by the driver’s telematics device, HoS data syncs into Route4Me and is typically broken into a few standard categories:

On Duty
Working time that is not driving, such as loading, paperwork, or inspections.
Off Duty
Time free of work obligations.
Sleeper Berth

Route4Me shows this data for reference only: it isn’t factored into route optimization, doesn’t trigger compliance warnings or alerts, and doesn’t automatically insert breaks into a route.
Your telematics vendor remains the system of record for actual compliance status. Route4Me’s role is limited to importing and displaying the data that vendor sends over, detailed in the the table below.
