Generate Orders from Address Territory Locations
When planning routes, besides the most efficient sequence of stops, you also need to figure out the most optimal way to delegate the right tasks to the right team members. Instead of planning over-sized routes and making your field employees travel back and forth across the city, you can break your service area up into optimally sized territories and assign each field employee to the most suitable territory using Route4Me’s territory routing features. You can also generate orders from all addresses that are located in one or multiple territories. Route4Me’s route optimization software is compatible with such e-commerce platforms as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, bigCommerce, osCommerce, Squarespace, Volusion, and other resources that are widely used by many businesses for supporting their eCommerce delivery and order fulfillment processes. Thus, you can effortlessly accommodate your particular business needs by generating orders from your unique territories and entire services areas and then use territory routing to plan routes with those orders.
To generate orders from territories with Route4Me’s territory routing features, first, go to “Address Book Map” from the navigation menu.
Next, use the corresponding eye icons in the territories list to display the preferred territories on the map.
To generate an order from a single address located in a particular territory, first, right-click on this address and then select “Generate Order” from its menu.
Alternatively, you can generate orders from multiple addresses that are located in one particular territory. To do so, first, use one of the corresponding drawing tools in the top left corner of the map to draw an area around the territory that contains the addresses which you want to use for generating orders (you can draw a custom-shaped area around the perimeter of any territory).
You can also draw an area around multiple territories. After drawing the area, you can check how many addresses are included into this area in the bottom left corner of the screen.
To generate orders from all addresses in the drawn area, first, go to “File” and then select “Generate Orders from Selected.”
After that, click on the corresponding button to confirm that you want to generate orders from the selected addresses.
Next, use the calendar for scheduling new orders for the preferred date.
After that, you can use the corresponding fields to add more details to the orders you are generating. When you generate an order from an address, this orders inherits all data from this address (i.e., First Name, Last Name, E-mail, etc.). When you use the corresponding fields for adding particular details to an order that is being generated from an address, these order fields override the details contained in the address from which the corresponding order is being generated.
To generate orders from the selected addresses, click on the “Generate Orders” button.
To view and use the generated orders, go to “Orders” from the navigation menu.
In your Orders List, you can sort your orders by date or use the search to find particular orders by their corresponding attributes (i.e., Alias, First Name, Last Name, etc.).
To view the generated orders on the map, click on the globe icon in the top right corner of the screen.
After that, you can view your orders on the map and use them accordingly. Use the corresponding eye icons in the territories list to display or hide your territories on the map. To display your orders in the tile or list view, use the corresponding icons in the top right corner of the screen.
With Route4Me’s near real-time data synchronization, once you generate new orders from the Route4Me Web Platform, these orders instantly become available on Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps.
NOTE: When you generate orders from the addresses located in one or multiple territories, the corresponding territories and addresses remain unchanged.
