Refresh Route Directions – Update Directions of a Route
To make sure that your entire routing operation is running as planned and you always know what your team members are doing at any given moment, Route4Me provides near real-time tracking and data synchronization across all devices associated with your Primary Route4Me Account. Thus, whenever you or your team members make any changes to routes, orders, Synced Address Book contacts, etc., using Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps, all changes are automatically synchronized with the Route4Me Web Platform and vice versa. All changes and updates are synchronized in near real-time automatically so that you can always be up-to-date without having to manually refresh your routes. Moreover, Route4Me also supports the offline mode on Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps so that even when your field members don’t have the internet connection, they still can capture various types of valuable data and then sync it across all associated devices once the connection is restored (learn more iOS/Android). For more convenience, you can also refresh routes manually to synchronize any changes made to your routes when being offline and using Route4Me on any computer or mobile device.
For example, if a team member moves a route stop to another sequence position using Route4Me’s Android or iOS mobile app while you don’t have an internet connection on your computer when using the Route4Me Web Platform, you can manually refresh this route to update its directions once your internet connection is restored (provided that the route is not refreshed automatically). To refresh the directions of the route opened in the Route Editor, first, go to “Route” from the menu at the top of the map and then select “Refresh Directions” accordingly.
Once the route’s directions are refreshed, all changes made from Route4Me’s mobile apps will be instantly synchronized with the Route4Me Web Platform (or vice versa).
To refresh the directions of a particular route from the Routes List, first, click on the gear icon next to this route and then select “Refresh Directions” from the route’s options menu. Alternatively, to refresh multiple routes at a time, first, select the preferred routes by checking the corresponding boxes, go to “Routes” from the menu at the top and then select “Refresh Directions” from the list.
