Route Planner Route4Me User Type
Route4Me’s user hierarchy includes the following key user types: Account Owner, Administrator, Regional Manager, Route Planner, Dispatcher, Analyst, and Driver. By default, each user type has their own set of default account-level permissions for interacting with the Platform and other users. The role of each user type can be interpreted in your own way, depending on the particular needs of your business or unique business model. Thus, you can assign different user types (except for the Account Owner) to different team members according to their role within your business environment or choose the one that is the closest in terms of duties and responsibilities.
The Route Planner user type can report to the Account Owner, Administrator, or Regional Manager user types. Route Planners can create only Drivers, but do not have the ability to manage Drivers’ accounts. Route Planners are generally created by Regional Managers, Admins or the Account Owner to be in charge of planning and optimizing routes for Drivers and other users.
By default, Route Planners can see only those users that are branched under them. If the “See All Drivers” Company Visibility permission is enabled (learn how), the given Route Planner can also see all Drivers associated with the primary Route4Me account.
Route Planners do not have the ability to view or edit their own permissions. Route Planners can edit only their account settings (learn more).
Route Planners do not have the permission to modify the settings of their sub-users. Route Planners also do not have the permission to delete any sub-users (only the Account Owner or Admin).
Route Planners can create only Drivers, but do not have the permission to manage Drivers’ accounts.
Route Planners can use the multiple user invitation form for inviting multiple users at a time with the ability to pre-assign only the Driver user type to each invitee (learn more).
Route Planners can view, open, and manage the routes, orders, Address Book contacts, and other data of all and only those Drivers that are branched under them (also Global Drivers List). The routes that have assigned users are marked with these users’ email addresses. The routes that have the given Route Planner assigned to them are not marked when logged in as this Route Planner.
Route Planners can track the activities of all and only those Drivers that are branched under them through the Activity Feed (learn more), view the tracking history of each user (learn more), use Route4Me’s analytics tools for viewing users’ statistics, and more.
