Upload Users – Bulk Team Member Import In CSV File
With Route4Me, you can create an organized and easily manageable routing team hierarchy of Managers, Route Planners, Dispatchers, Drivers, and other team members. Depending on your specific last mile routing needs and unique business model, each user can have default or customized account-level permissions, route visibility, driver and vehicle access, and more. For your convenience, you can import thousands of team members into your Route4Me account by uploading a single spreadsheet. All you need to do is add your team members’ details into a spreadsheet template, and Route4Me will automatically create a new user account for each team member. On this page, you can learn how to format user spreadsheets and bulk upload multiple users. Additionally, you can learn how to add users manually and invite users via SMS and Email. Bulk Import Multiple Users From Spreadsheet
To import team members into your Route4Me account, go to “Team” and then select “Users” in the navigation menu. After that, click the “Create Users” button.
Next, select the “Upload Spreadsheet” option for creating new users.

For your convenience, you can use Route4Me’s Bulk User Import Spreadsheet Template. In detail, you can download the template, populate it with your team members’ information, and then upload the spreadsheet to bulk create multiple users.
Spreadsheet Formatting For User Upload And Data Validation
The user upload spreadsheet consists of organized Columns and Rows. To add a column, add the preferred column name to the header (first row) of your spreadsheet and then populate its following rows with user data. Accordingly, all data added in the same row belongs to the same user. Additionally, learn more about Route4Me’s Spreadsheets Formatting Requirements.
Below, you can find the list of column names you can add to your spreadsheet. Additionally, learn more about Route4Me’s User Types and User Permissions and Route4Me’s User Permissions Settings, Read-Only Mode, Route and Company Visibility Settings.
|First name of the user.
|Last name of the user.
|Valid email address of the user. This email address will be used by the user to sign in to their Route4Me account.
|This password will be used by the user to sign in to their Route4Me account.
|Add the following user types (in capital letter only): SUB_ACCOUNT_ADMIN, SUB_ACCOUNT_REGIONAL_MANAGER, SUB_ACCOUNT_PLANNER, SUB_ACCOUNT_DISPATCHER, SUB_ACCOUNT_ANALYST, SUB_ACCOUNT_DRIVER.
|Email address of the user’s manager – an existing user that the newly added user will report to.
|Date of Birth
|Date of birth of the user.
|Phone number of the user.
|Hourly rate of the user.
|Driving Rate per Mile

|Hide Routes Scheduled for Before the Current Date

|Add “True” to enable or “False” to disable. When enabled, the user can’t see any routes that are scheduled for before the current date.
|Show Future Routes Scheduled Number of Days in Advance
|Add the preferred number of days for future routes visibility. For example, if you add “30” days, the user will see only those routes that are scheduled to start within 30 days from the current date.
|See All Drivers

|Add “True” to enable or “False” to disable. When enabled, the user can see and optionally manage all Drivers stored on the Primary Route4Me Account and accounts of all other users branched under the Account Owner.

|Add “True” to enable or “False” to disable. When the Read-Only Mode is enabled for the user’s account, the user can see the routes and work assigned to them but can’t edit the routes and work assigned to them.
After uploading your spreadsheet, Route4Me automatically validates and matches column names from the spreadsheet to Route4Me’s user fields. In case certain column names don’t match the data in them, you can manually match data columns from the uploaded spreadsheet to Route4Me’s user profile fields. To do so, select the right column names based on the data in them.
Edit Users And Add User Rates, Custom Data And Other Details
Once the spreadsheet is uploaded, Route4Me automatically creates a new Route4Me account for each imported user. Next, you can edit your users to add more information to their profiles, change their manager, customize permissions, and more. To do so, click the Three-Dot Icon next to the preferred user and then select “Edit” from the menu.
Next, you can navigate the following tabs to add or change the user’s information and account settings. Additionally, you can learn more about editing user accounts, including general information, user permissions, rates, etc.
|General information about the user: photo, email, phone number, account password, country and state, user type, direct manager, date of birth, etc.
|Customize the user’s account-level permissions: Read-Only Mode, future and past Routes Visibility, Drivers and Vehicles Visibility, Orders and Address Book Visibility. Additionally, learn more about Route4Me’s User Permissions Settings.
|Select the Territories that will be associated with this user. The user will be automatically assigned to planned routes in the respective territories optimized with the user’s associated Optimization Profile.
|Add the user’s compensation details (salary) depending on their role and provided services.
|Route4Me enables you to add additional information to your users that doesn’t fit into reserved fields. In the “Custom Data” tab you can add new and manage existing Custom Data attached to the user. Route4Me Mobile Team Management And Real-Time Synchronization
Moreover, Route4Me provides real-time route and team data synchronization across multiple computer and mobile devices. Specifically, when you import and create new users, they instantly become available on all associated Route4Me accounts. Accordingly, new team members can be accessed, assigned to routes, and engaged in other activities from the Route4Me Web Platform and Route4Me’s Mobile iPhone Route Planning App and Android Route Planning App. For example, a Manager can add new Drivers, and a Dispatcher can instantly see new Drivers and dispatch routes to them.
