Bulk Member Import – Importing Multiple Users into Your Route4Me Account in a Single Upload
With Route4Me, you can build a well-structured and easily-manageable network of users where each member can have a dedicated role with an adjustable set of permissions. Moreover, Route4Me provides near real-time data synchronization across all associated computer and mobile devices so that all actions performed by your team members who are using Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps when out in the field can be recorded, synchronized with your Route4Me account and instantly become available on the Route4Me Web Platform or vice versa. Depending on your particular business needs or unique business model, as well as the size of your organization, you may need to create hundreds of member profiles/user accounts per month or even per week. For more convenience and efficiency, you can import hundreds of team members into your Route4Me account in a single upload using Route4Me’s Bulk Member Uploader.
To import multiple team members into your Route4Me account in a single upload, first, go to “Users” from the navigation menu to open the list of all users associated with your Route4Me account (learn more).
Next, click on the “Import Members from CSV” button.
After that, upload a CSV file with the members’ data accordingly. To download a sample CSV file that you can use as a template, click on “here” next to the corresponding list item.
For the spreadsheet that you want to import into the system to be successfully processed, it must contain a header row and data rows. The header row defines the type of information you are importing (i.e., First Name), while the corresponding data rows contain the actual member details that are being imported into the system (i.e., Abigail, Brian, etc.).
The table below provides the list of columns that must be included into the CSV file you want to import into your Route4Me account.
|Column Title||Data Value Example||Description|
|First Name||John||First name of the member you want to import.|
|Last Name||Smith||Last name of the member you want to import.|
|Password||Route4Me||The password must be minimum 8 characters long and contain one uppercase letter. The defined password will be used by the imported member for logging into their Route4Me account (learn more).|
|Member type||SUB_ACCOUNT_DRIVER||The user type you want to be assigned to the member you want to import. Depending on the assigned user type, this member will have the corresponding set of account-level permissions (learn more). |Working Rate per Hour||10||The member’s payment rate per 1 hour of working (i.e., providing on-site services, etc.).|
|Driving Rate per Mile||10||The member’s payment rate for driving for 1 mile.|
|Idling Rate per Hour||10||The member’s payment rate per 1 hour of idling/inactivity during the member’s working hours (i.e., paid lunch break, waiting for a customer to open their business, etc.).|

|Global Address Book||Boolean Value: “True” or “False”||Allows or prohibits the member from accessing all Synced Address Book contacts associated with the Primary Route4Me Account (learn more).|
|Global Orders||Boolean Value: “True” or “False”||Allows or prohibits the member from accessing all Orders associated with the Primary Route4Me Account (learn more).|
|Read Only||Boolean Value: “True” or “False”||Enables or disables the Read Only Mode for the member’s account (learn more).|
Once the CSV file with the members’ data is uploaded, Route4Me checks each value in each cell and if one of the values needs to be corrected, the column that contains the incorrect value(s) will be highlighted accordingly.
By default, each column title is automatically matched with its corresponding data column. If a particular column title is set to “Ignored,” you can manually select the correct column title for the ignored data column. NOTE: When matching column titles to data columns manually, make sure that they correspond correctly.
Certain features must be enabled for the import members using boolean values in the import file. For example, if the “See All Drivers” value is set to “TRUE” for a particular member, once this member is imported into the system, this feature will be automatically enabled. Alternatively, if this value is set to “FALSE,” this feature will be disabled accordingly.
After checking that all column titles are matching their corresponding data columns and all cells contain the correct data, click on the “Next” button to import the members.
Once the CSV file with the members’ data is imported, a user profile/member account is created for each imported member. Once the user’s Route4Me account is created, this user can log into their new Route4Me account (with their email and password) from the Route4Me Web Platform or Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps (learn more).
After importing members into your Route4Me account, you can further customize their profiles and manage them accordingly. To learn more about Route4Me’s Team Management, visit this page.
