Upload Users – Bulk Team Member Import in CSV File
With Route4Me, you can create a structured and easily manageable network of managers, route planners, dispatchers, drivers, and other team members. Depending on your specific last-mile optimization needs and unique business model, your users can have default or customized account-level permissions, route visibility, driver and vehicle access, and more.
For your convenience, you can efficiently import thousands of team members into your Route4Me account by uploading a single spreadsheet. All you need to do is add your team members’ details into a spreadsheet template, and Route4Me will automatically create a new user account for each team member.
On this page, you can learn how to format user spreadsheets and bulk upload multiple team members. Additionally, you can learn how to add users manually and invite users via SMS and Email. To import team members into your Route4Me account, go to “Team” and then select “Users” in the navigation menu. After that, click on the “Create Users” button.
Next, select the “Upload Spreadsheet” option for creating new users.

For your convenience, you can use Route4Me’s Bulk User Import spreadsheet template. In detail, you can download the template, populate it with your team members’ information, and then upload the spreadsheet to bulk create multiple users.
The user upload spreadsheet consists of organized Columns and Rows. To add a column, add the preferred column name to the header (first row) of your spreadsheet and then populate its following rows with user data. Below, you can find the list of column names you can add to your spreadsheet. Additionally, learn more about Route4Me’s User Types and User Permissions and Route4Me’s User Permissions Settings, Read-Only Mode, Route and Company Visibility Settings.

After uploading your spreadsheet, Route4Me automatically validates and matches column names from the spreadsheet to Route4Me’s user fields. In case certain column names don’t match the data in them, you can manually match data columns from the uploaded spreadsheet to Route4Me’s user profile fields. To do so, select the right column names based on the data in them.
Once the spreadsheet is uploaded, Route4Me automatically creates a new Route4Me account for each imported user. Next, you can edit your users to add more information to their profiles, change their manager, customize permissions, and more. To do so, click on the three-dot menu icon next to the preferred user and then select “Edit” from the menu.

|Rates||Add the user’s compensation details (salary) depending on their role and provided services.|
|Custom Data||Route4Me enables you to add additional information to your users that doesn’t fit into reserved fields. In the “Custom Data” tab you can add new and manage existing Custom Data attached to the user. To add Custom Data to users, enable the Custom Data Add-On on the Primary Route4Me account. Moreover, Route4Me provides real-time route and team data synchronization across multiple computer and mobile devices. Specifically, when you import and create new users, they instantly become available on all associated Route4Me accounts. Accordingly, new team members can be accessed, assigned to routes, and engaged in other activities from the Route4Me Web Platform and Route4Me’s Mobile iPhone Route Planning App and Android Route Planning App. For example, a Manager can add new Drivers, and a Dispatcher can instantly see new Drivers and dispatch routes to them.
