Editing Addresses and Customer Profiles on the Address Book Map
Your Route4Me Address Book (List/Map) is a centralized database where you and your team members can securely manage the information about customers’ locations, depots, commercial facilities, warehouses, and any other relevant prospects and real-world locations. With Route4Me’s interactive Address Book Map, you can edit addresses and customer profiles right from the map and save the changes into your synchronized Address Book. Editing addresses or customer profiles using the map enables you to get a better visual overview of your customers’ spacial arrangement and make the needed changes accordingly. All changes that are made to customer profiles/addresses from the Web Platform can be automatically synchronized across all authorized devices and accessed from Route4Me’s iOS and Android apps.
To edit the details of a particular address or customer profile using the map, first, go to “Address Book Map” from the navigation menu.
Next, right-click on the address/customer profile that you want to modify and then select “Edit” from the menu.
In the “Edit Address” window, you can update the address of the customer using the corresponding field. When you input a partial or incorrect address, the system automatically geocodes it and suggests one or multiple valid variants of the address. Select one of the suggested variants and make sure that the red dot turns to green, meaning that the address is valid and properly geocoded.
In the “Alias” field, you can edit the internal custom-defined name of the customer’s profile. When creating a new alias for a customer, make sure that it is easily identifiable and corresponds to particular features of its associated prospect or address.
To change the color that represents the address on the map, select one of the available colors in the corresponding field. To select a custom icon for the address, first, click on the current icon and then select the new icon from the list.
In the “Location Details” tab, use the “Group” field to include the address into a particular Search Group. To learn more about using Search Groups, visit this page.
To edit the available contact information of the customer, use the corresponding fields in the “Location Details” tab.
To add new or edit existing custom data, first, click on the “Edit Custom Data” button in the “Location Details” tab.
After that, edit the data in the corresponding custom fields and then click on the “OK” button to save the changes. To learn more about adding and managing custom data, visit this page.
In the “Business Details” tab, you can edit the following order information of the customer: Pieces, Weight, Cube, Reference No, Revenue, and Priority, as well as select the preferred “Address Stop Type.”
In the “Time Windows” tab, you can adjust both time windows of the customer’s visitation hours, as well as change the service time for the customer’s location. In the “Schedule” tab, you can create new or edit existing recurring visitation schedules. To adjust a particular schedule, click on the “Edit” button next to it. To learn more about managing schedules for repetitive visitations, visit this page.
After modifying the details of the customer/address, click on the “Save” button to apply the changes.
