Dispatcher Route4Me User Type
Route4Me’s user hierarchy includes the following key user types: Account Owner, Administrator, Regional Manager, Route Planner, Dispatcher, Analyst, and Driver. By default, each user type has their own set of default account-level permissions for interacting with the Platform and other users. The role of each user type can be interpreted in your own way, depending on the particular needs of your business or unique business model. Thus, you can assign different user types (except for the Account Owner) to different team members according to their role within your business environment or choose the one that is the closest in terms of duties and responsibilities.
The Dispatcher user type can report to the Account Owner, Administrator, or Regional Manager user types. Dispatchers can create and manage only Drivers. Dispatchers are generally created by Regional Managers, Admins, or the Account Owner to be in charge of dispatching planned routes to Drivers.
Dispatchers can see and modify the settings of only those users that are branched under them, as well as all Drivers associated with the primary Route4Me account if the “See All Drivers” Company Visibility permission is enabled (learn more).
Dispatchers do not have the ability to view or edit their own permissions. Dispatchers can view and edit their account settings (learn more).
Dispatchers can see and modify the settings of their sub-users, but do not have the ability to create new sub-users. Dispatchers also do not have the permission to delete any sub-users (only the Account Owner or Admins).
Dispatchers can use the multiple user invitation form for inviting multiple users at a time with the ability to pre-assign only the Driver user type to each invitee (learn more).
Dispatchers can log into other team member accounts that are branched under them (Drivers only). To do so, as the Dispatcher, click on the three dots menu icon next to the user whose account you want to log into and then select “Edit” from the menu. After that, update the user’s credentials (password only) and then use the new credentials for logging into this user’s account.
Dispatchers can view, open, and manage the routes, orders, Address Book contacts, and other data of the Drivers branched under them. The routes that have assigned users are marked with these users’ email addresses. The routes that have the given Dispatcher assigned to them are not marked when logged in as this Dispatcher.
Dispatchers can track the activities of all Drivers that are branched under them through the Activity Feed (learn more), view the tracking history of each sub-user (learn more), use Route4Me’s analytics tools for viewing sub-users’ statistics, and more.
