Administrator User Type – Route4Me Team Management
Route4Me’s user hierarchy includes the following key user types: Account Owner, Administrator, Regional Manager, Route Planner, Dispatcher, Analyst, and Driver. By default, each user type has their own set of default account-level permissions for interacting with the Platform and other users. The role of each user type can be interpreted in your own way, depending on the particular needs of your business or unique business model. Thus, you can assign different user types (except for the Account Owner) to different team members according to their role within your business environment or choose the one that is the closest in terms of duties and responsibilities.
The Administrator (Admin) user type has the second-highest set of account-level permissions after the Account Owner. Admins are normally created by the Account Owner to control the operations and be in charge of other team members. The Account Owner can have multiple Administrators and one Administrator can also have one or multiple Administrators. The Administrators that are branched under other Administrators have the same set of permissions. NOTE: The Administrator’s default account-level permissions override the Company Visibility settings.
Administrators can see and modify all sub-users that are associated with the primary Route4Me account (except for the Account Owner), as well as create new sub-users and link them to any existing sub-users. One Administrator can create and manage multiple Administrators.
Administrators can log into any team member account associated with the primary Route4Me account (except for the Account Owner’s primary account). To do so, as the Administrator, click on the three dots menu icon next to the user whose account you want to log into and then select “Edit” from the menu. After that, update the user’s credentials (password only) and then use the new credentials for logging into this user’s account.
Administrators can create new sub-users with all user types (except for the Account Owner) and link them to any existing user(s). Moreover, Administrators can use the multiple user invitation form for inviting several users at a time with the ability to pre-assign any user type to each invitee (learn more).
Administrators also have access to the Global Routes List, Global Address Book, Global Orders List, and all other data that is generated by each user associated with the primary Route4Me account. The routes that have assigned users are marked with these users’ email addresses. The routes that have the given Administrator assigned to them are not marked when logged in as this Administrator.
Admins can track the activities of all users associated with the primary Route4Me account through the Activity Feed (learn more), view the tracking history of each user (learn more), use Route4Me’s analytics tools for viewing users’ statistics, and more.
Administrators can change the settings of their own accounts, the settings of each other accounts, and the settings of all other team member accounts (except for the Account Owner). Administrators do not have the permission to access the settings of the primary Route4Me account, view or change the billing information of the primary Route4Me account or modify the current subscription plan (can only view the current subscription plan).
