To plan a new route with the Roundtrip optimization type, first, go to “Routes” from the navigation menu at the bottom of the screen and then tap on the “Add New Route” button. Next, select the “Roundtrip” optimization type and then fill out the rest of the route’s settings to your preference (learn more).

After specifying the route’s settings, you need to set up the departure address from which the route will start and at which the route will end. To do so, tap on the “Set Your Departure Address” button and then add the departure address using the preferred method.

After adding the route’s departure and end address, you can add or import the addresses that you want to include into the route. To do so, tap on the “Add Another Destination” button and then add or import addresses into the route using the preferred method. Once the Roundtrip route is planned and optimized, this route will start and end at the same predefined departure address (depot), and all added or imported addresses within the route will be placed in the most optimal sequence.

Comparing Alternative Optimization Types (Roundtrip vs. End Anywhere)

The Roundtrip optimization type allows you to define a single depot from where the route will start and at which the route will end and get the most efficient sequence of destinations within the route. Alternatively, the End Anywhere optimization type allows you to optimize routes with the predefined departure address, the most efficient sequence of stops, and the most optimal automatically selected last destination (end address). To plan a new route with the End Anywhere optimization type, when you are specifying the route’s settings, select the End Anywhere optimization type accordingly. Once the route is planned, this route will start from the predefined departure destination, have the most efficient sequence of addresses, and end at the most optimal address.
