Assign Users When Planning Routes on the Web Platform
With Route4Me, you are able to create a well-structured and easily-manageable network of users where each member can have a dedicated role with an adjustable set of permissions. Route4Me provides flexible tools and settings for controlling your entire team, allowing you to always delegate the right tasks to the right people and make sure that your team can access only that information that they need to successfully accomplish their goals. Users can be assigned to routes when the routes are already planned (learn how) or before they are planned when specifying their parameters. With Route4Me’s near real-time data synchronization, once a route is assigned to a particular team member, this route instantly becomes available on the team member’s account and can be accessed by the assigned team member from the Route4Me Web Platform or Route4Me’s iOS and Android route planner apps. Moreover, drivers can navigate the routes assigned to them using the in-app voice-guided navigation or third-party navigation apps, such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, etc.
To assign a particular team member to one or multiple routes when specifying the route parameters, first, go to “Plan New Route” from the navigation menu. Next, select one of the preferred route data import methods (Interactive Map Editor, Copy-and-Paste, Upload a File, or Import Data).
After that, go to the “User” tab and then select the team member that you want to assign to the planned route(s) from the “Assign to User” list. To open the list of all users associated with your Route4Me account, click on “Manage Users.”
After that, specify the rest of the route’s parameters to your preference and then use the selected route data import method accordingly.
Once the route is planned, the selected team member is already assigned to the corresponding route. In the Routes List, the route that has the assigned user has this user’s email address next to it. When you use the Single Driver Route optimization type, the selected team member is assigned to the single planned route.
When you use the Multiple Drivers Route optimization type, the selected team member is assigned to all planned routes accordingly.
When a user is assigned to a route from the Route4Me Web Platform, this route becomes available on the user’s account in near real-time and can be accessed by the assigned user from the Route4Me Web Platform or Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps.
