After you dispatch routes, you want to be up to date with the route progress, get notified about route changes, etc. Therefore, Route4Me’s real-time route change notifications automatically let you and your team members know about the essential activities and changes on any of the routes.
First, dispatch the preferred routes to users from the Web Platform to the Android Route Planner app. After that, when drivers make changes to routes using the Android or iOS Mobile Route Planning apps, the respective route edits get automatically updated on the Web Platform in real-time. Dispatch Route from Web Platform to Android Route Planner App
In detail, Route4Me shows route change notifications triggered by the activities executed on the routes assigned to you and your sub-users. Furthermore, the notifications triggered from the Android Route Planner app are displayed on the Web Platform in real-time. In this way, you can dispatch routes to sub-users from the Web Platform and then receive real-time notifications when they progress on their routes using the Android Route Planner app.
Thus, to dispatch a route to a sub-user (i.e., Driver), you need to assign the respective user to the preferred route. Accordingly, to dispatch a planned route from the Web Route Editor, go to “Edit” from the toolbar, select “Assign User” from the menu, and then choose the preferred user. Additionally, to dispatch a single or multiple routes from the Routes Map or Routes List, check the box(es) to select one or multiple routes, go to “Edit” from the toolbar at the top. Next, choose “Assign User” from the menu and then choose the preferred user. Route Change Notifications – Android Mobile Route Planner to Web Platform
To sum up, the activities users execute on the Android Route Planner app can automatically trigger and send the respective notifications to the Web Platform. Accordingly, below you can see an example of how a route destination is marked as Arrived and Done on the Android Route Planner, and the respective notifications are automatically shown on the Web Platform in real-time. For example, Drivers or other field members can record the progress on their routes. Consequently, Dispatchers or Managers can check the progress on the Web Platform.
