Use Uber for Navigating Routes – Android Route Planner
In addition to the Route4Me integrated voice-guided navigation, Route4Me’s Android Route Planner app can also be used with various third-party navigation apps – including the Uber navigation app – that allow you to expand the range of your route navigation options and combine them with Route4Me’s powerful route planning and route optimization features. Moreover, if your business does not have or need a full-time fleet of vehicles, your company vehicle broke down, or you need to get to the depot where your working vehicle is parked, you can effortlessly get to any Route4Me route stop using various ridesharing apps such as Uber. Thus, you can make sure that your customers will always be visited on time and that any unpredictable situation will not have any negative impact on your routing operations.
To use Uber for getting to a particular route stop from your current location, first, make sure that the Uber app is installed on your Android device and then open the corresponding route. To do so, go to “My Routes” from the navigation menu, tap on the route that you want to navigate and then select “Open Route” from the menu.
After that, tap on the stop to which you want to get from your current location, select “Send to Navigation App” from the stop’s menu and then select Uber from the list.
Alternatively, tap on the steering wheel icon next to the stop to which you want to get from your current location and then select the Uber navigation app from the list.
After that, the Route4Me Route Planner app will send the corresponding navigation data to the Uber app and automatically create a new ride request to visit the selected route stop. Route4Me’s Android Route Planner app works with the Uber app on the stop-by-stop basis, allowing you to use Uber for visiting one route stop at a time.
