Adjust the Settings of a Planned Route – Android Route Planner

The primary goal of Route4Me Android Route Planner is to make your routing operations more flexible and enable you to plan and optimize the most efficient and profitable multi stop routes and then effortlessly manage your planned routes on the go. The Route4Me Android multi stop route planner app provides you with all the necessary tools for gaining full control over your routes as well as the routes of your team members. Any updates or last-minute changes are instantly synchronized and become available across all associated devices.
All routes on your Route4Me account can be managed from any mobile or computer device that has the corresponding permission and access. To open the list of all your planned routes on your Route4Me account from your Android device, go to My Routes from the navigation menu.
On the My Routes screen, you can view and manage your routes, respectively. To manage a particular route, tap on it and then select one of the preferred options from the route’s menu.
Changing the Start Time and Date of Planned Routes
To update the start time and date of the route, select the corresponding option from the route’s menu.
Next, select the new start date for the route in the Set Date tab.
After that, select the start time for the route in the Set Time tab and tap OK to apply the changes. Tap Reset to set the current date as the route’s start.
Once the start time and date of the planned route are updated, you can check it under the route’s name on the My Routes screen.
Duplicating Planned Routes
Duplicating planned routes allows you to plan master routes and re-use their duplicates with additional modifications as route templates. Thus, if you plan a complex route with multiple constraints and you want to keep it as a template for creating more similar routes, but with particular alterations, you can duplicate it and modify the duplicates accordingly. To duplicate a route, select the corresponding option from the route’s menu.
Once the route is duplicated, the corresponding notification pops up at the bottom of the screen, and the duplicate is displayed on the My Routes screen respectively. The duplicate is a precise copy of the route from which it was duplicated. The only exceptions are that the duplicate does not have the same assigned user and does not contain notes and note attachments.
Adding Planned Routes to Your Calendar
With the Route4Me Android route planner app, you can add your planned routes to third-party calendars to make sure that you are always up-to-date and on schedule. Then, you can easily share your scheduled events with your co-workers using any preferred third-party calendar app. To add an optimized route to a calendar app, select the corresponding option from the route’s menu.
By default, the Route4Memulti stop route planner app opens Google Calendar, provided that it is the only calendar application installed on your Android device. Then, follow further instructions of the calendar app respectively.
Once the route is added to the calendar app, when you open the route’s menu, you can select the corresponding option to edit the calendar event.
Exporting Route Data
With the Route4Me Android route planner app, you can export optimized routes and use them for sharing with your team members, making reports, conducting the analysis of your routing operations, and many other activities that can help you in making your business more efficient. Exported routes can also be used for navigation on specialized GPS devices. To export the route data, select the corresponding option from the route’s menu.
Then, choose in what file format you want to export the route.
Assigning a New User to a Route
Route4Me Android app enables you to easily assign and re-assign a new user to any route. To assign a user to a route, select the corresponding option from the route’s menu.
Next, select the user that you want to assign to the route from the list. Use the search bar at the top of the screen to navigate through the users’ list.
Once the selected user is assigned to the route, the corresponding notification pops up at the bottom of the screen. The assignee receives a notification on their email address and mobile device as well as the corresponding access to the route.
Deleting a Route
To delete a route from your Routes List, first, locate the route on the My Routes screen and then tap on it to open its menu.
Next, select Delete from the route’s menu respectively.
Please note that when you delete a route, it is permanently removed from your Route4Me account and becomes unavailable on all associated devices.
Adjusting the Settings of Planned Routes
To adjust the route’s settings (change optimization settings and more), first, open the corresponding route from the My Routes screen.
Next, on the Stops screen, tap on the three dots menu icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Route Settings from the list.
Then, select Current Route Settings respectively.
After that, in the Current Route Settings tab, adjust the route’s settings to your preference.
Furthermore, you can add more destinations to the route by tapping the Add Destinations button. After adding one or multiple destinations to the route, you can re-optimize the route by tapping the Optimize button.
Sharing a Route via Email Address
You can easily share your routes with your co-workers and colleagues. To do so, on the Stops screen of the opened route, tap on the three dots menu icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Share Route from the list.
Next, input the email address of the person with whom you want to share the route and tap Send to finish. When you share a route, the receiver gets a brief overview of the route’s metrics, a high-resolution map with the overlay of the route, and the list of all stops included in the corresponding route. Please note that assigning a route to a user is different from sharing it as the latter only sends an email with route’s data but does not grant access to the route.
Renaming a Route
To change the route’s name, on the Stops screen, tap on the name of the opened route.
Then, edit the route’s name in the corresponding field and tap Confirm to apply the changes.
