Navigating a Route on an Android Device
Route4Me uses advanced algorithms that allow you to easily plan the most time-efficient and cost-effective routes. Route4Me takes care of all calculations and computing processes, delivering user-friendly tools for planning and navigating complex routes with multiple stops. With Route4Me’s Android app you can create optimized routes and navigate them in real-time using third-party navigation applications such as Waze and Google Maps. To enable Route4Me’s integrated navigation, please contact our Customer Success Department.
To start the navigation using a third-party app, first, open the route that you want to navigate. To do so, go to “My Routes” from the navigation menu, then tap on the route and select “Open Route” from the “Choose Action” menu to open the “Stops” screen.
On the “Stops” screen, tap on the right facing arrow in the circle icon next to the stop for which you want to enable the voice-guided navigation with directions.
Using Waze for Navigation
Depending on the installed navigation applications on your device, once you tap on the right facing arrow in the circle icon next to a stop, you are prompted to select the preferred navigation app from the “Open With” list. Tap on the Waze icon to use it for navigation.
After selecting Waze app for navigation, choose “Just” Once“ to use the selected app for navigation only one time, alternatively, choose “Always” to use the selected app for navigation by default in the future.
Once the app is opened, wait for Waze to compute the route and then, tap “Go Now” to start the navigation.
When the navigation starts, proceed to navigate the route respectively.
Using Google Maps for Navigation
When prompted, tap on the Google Maps icon to use it for navigation.
After selecting Google Maps for navigation, choose “Just” Once” to use the selected app for navigation only one time, alternatively, choose “Always” to use the selected app for navigation by default in the future.
Once Google Maps open the stop on the map, tap “Directions” to adjust the navigation and directions and proceed to navigate the route correspondingly.
