Using Barcode Scanner on an Android Device

Barcode Scanner allows the Route4Me’s Android app users to simplify their work and perform their tasks in a faster and more efficient way. Barcode Scanner helps to reduce the time of data input and decrease the chances of possible errors.

 

How to Scan a Barcode

To add barcode data to a stop/address using the Barcode Scanner on your Android device, first, go to “My Routes” from the navigation menu to open the route that contains the stop to which you want to add custom data.

On the “Stops” screen, tap on the stop to which you want to add data from a barcode to open its menu.

In the “Choose Action” window, select “Scan Barcode.”

Point your camera at the barcode until it is detected and displayed in green color. Make sure that the image is clear and sharp for faster and more accurate scanning.

Barcode Data

Once you hear a beep sound, a “Stop Info” window will open automatically. The “Stop Info” contains the information about the stop. “Custom data” section displays the information that is added from the barcode.

Adjusting the Barcode Settings

To adjust the settings of the Barcode Scanner, go “Settings” from the Navigation Menu.

Scroll down to the “Barcode Scanner” section where you can adjust the settings according to your preference.
