Sort By Route – Scan Barcodes To View Order Details In Planned Routes

The Route4Me ERP Order Management System enables you to easily import, manage, and optimize routes with millions of customer orders. For your convenience, Route4Me’s Android Order Route Planner features an integrated barcode scanner and supports connectivity with commercial Bluetooth scanners. After orders are scheduled and routed, fulfillment team members can scan order barcodes and open route and address details associated with the scanned orders. Then, you can physically sort orders according to the details of their respective routes and customer destinations and seamlessly handle orders that have been misplaced, not loaded, or have an unknown status. In this guide, you can learn how to scan order barcodes to sort orders by route with Route4Me’s integrated label scanner or a connected Bluetooth barcode scanner.

In detail, you can sort orders by route to check the details of orders used as route destinations on planned and optimized routes. To do so, open the Android Barcode Scanner and then tap “Sorting” in the Navigation Menu. Next, tap “Sort by Route” to launch the barcode scanner and scan the label code of the order you want to check.

Then, the app will automatically detect and open the associated route and order details. Accordingly, you can check such information as the name of the associated route, the route start date, order destination address, order details, etc. Tap the “Scan Next Barcode” button to scan the following order barcode. You can continuously scan orders without closing the app, enabling you to seamlessly sort as many orders as needed.

NOTE: For your convenience, when sorting by routes, the app displays information only for routes scheduled for the current and following date. This way, orders can be physically sorted by route at the optimal time relative to their scheduled for dates.
