Insert Address Territory Addresses Into The Best Routes

When planning routes, besides the most efficient sequence of stops, you also need to figure out the most optimal way to delegate the right tasks to the right team members. Instead of planning over-sized routes and making your workers travel back and forth across the city, you can break your service area up into optimally sized territories and assign each field employee to the most suitable territory. In addition to planning entirely new routes using territories (learn more), you can also insert addresses and contacts from territories into already planned routes. Route4Me’s Dynamic Stop Insertion automatically suggests the most time-efficient and cost-effective routes that are already planned for a particular date and provides precise time and distance shifts for each route. When doing so, the system recalculates the solution to the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) and the Vehicle Route Problem (VRP) – a process that would take ages to complete manually. Thus, you can ensure that you always effortlessly insert your addresses only into the most optimal routes so that you can cut undesired fuel expenses, as well as avoid wasting valuable time.

To insert addresses from territories into the most optimal and efficient routes, first, go to “Address Book Map” from the navigation menu.

Before displaying territories on the map, you can display on the map only those addresses that have already been used in routes, as well as the addresses that have not been routed. To display on the map only those addresses that have not been used in routes, drag the “Address Visibility” toggle in the top right corner of the screen to the “Unrouted” position.

If the address that is being inserted and the suggested routes have time windows that violate one another, the “Violation” column will display the corresponding metrics.
