Default Navigation App and Navigation Troubleshooting on Android Devices
In addition to the Route4Me integrated voice-guided navigation, Route4Me’s Android app can also be used with various third-party navigation applications that allow you to expand the range of your navigation options and combine them with Route4Me’s powerful route planning and optimization features. For your convenience, you can choose any navigation application that accommodates the particular needs of your business or unique business model and set this app as your default navigation solution.
When you use the Route4Me integrated voice-guided navigation or one of the third-party navigation apps installed on your Android device for the first time, the Route4Me Android app automatically prompts you to set this app as your default navigation solution. To set the selected option as your default navigation app, tap “Yes” when prompted.
To set up or change your default navigation app, first, go to “Settings” from the navigation menu. Next, go to the “Default Navigation App” section where you can view and change your current default navigation app. To choose a new default navigation app, tap on the current default navigation option and then select the preferred app from the list of all available navigation apps installed on your Android device.
If you encounter any issues while using third-party navigation apps, you can troubleshoot your navigation settings with just a touch of a button. To do so, first, go to “Settings” from the navigation menu. Next, scroll to the “Voice-Guided Navigation” section and then tap on the “Clear Navigation Data” button. After that, relaunch the navigation app that you experienced issues with accordingly.
