Plan Routes with Address Book Contacts or Addresses – iOS
Route4Me’s iPhone Route Planner is designed to make your routing operations and transactions as fast and flexible as possible, enabling you and your team to use a single secure centralized database for storing and managing all information about customers, depots, commercial facilities, warehouses, and any other prospects or real-world locations that are relevant to your business (learn more). Moreover, you are able to use all that data for planning and optimizing routes of any complexity. Thus, instead of manually adding or importing each route destination with multiple details, you can select a set of customer addresses that you want to visit with just a few taps and the Route4Me iPhone app will produce the most time-efficient and cost-effective route in a matter of seconds.
To plan a new route with a set of addresses from your Route4Me Synced Address Book, first, you need to generate orders from the addresses that you want to use for planning the route. To do so, first, go to “More” from the navigation menu and then select “Address Book” from the list.
After that, tap on the address that you want to include into the planned route and then tap on the “Generate Order” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Next, schedule the order for the preferred date and then tap on the “Add” button to finish. Repeat the process to generate more orders from the addresses that you want to use for planning the route.
To open the orders generated from the addresses that you want to use for planning the route, first, go to “More” from the navigation menu and then select “Orders” from the list. When an order is generated from an address, this order inherits the same alias as the address it was generated from, as well as other details of the corresponding address (i.e., e-mail, phone number, etc.).
To plan a route with a set of orders generated from the preferred contacts or addresses, first, select the orders that you want to use by checking the corresponding boxes/circles. Alternatively, tap on the “Select All” button to select all orders displayed in the list. After that, tap on the “New Route” button and then tap “Confirm” when prompted.
Next, to plan the route without adjusting its optimization settings, input the name for the route into the corresponding field and then tap on the “Plan Route” button respectively. To adjust the route’s optimization settings, first, tap on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and then select “Route Settings” from the menu.
After that, adjust the route’s settings to your preference (learn more), tap on the “Done” button and then tap on the “Plan Route” button to finish and plan the route.
Route4Me provides near real-time data synchronization across all associated computer and mobile devices so that when a new route is planned using Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps, this route instantly becomes available on the Route4Me Web Platform and vice versa.
