Assign Users and Drivers to Routes from iPhone Route Planning App

Route4Me’s iPhone Route Planner enables you to effortlessly manage your entire mobile workforce on the go and make sure that you always delegate the right tasks to the right people. With the Route4Me iPhone app, you are able to build a well-structured and easily-manageable network of users that can have different roles and responsibilities based on the corresponding account-level permissions (learn more). Moreover, Route4Me provides near real-time data synchronization across all associated computer and mobile devices so that when a particular team member is assigned to any route using the Route4Me Web Platform, this route instantly becomes available on Route4Me’s iOS or Android mobile app of the corresponding user and vice versa.

 

To assign a particular team member to a route, first, go to “Routes” from the navigation menu to open the list of all your routes. Next, tap on the menu icon next to the route to which you want to assign a team member and then tap on the “Assign User” button accordingly.

After that, select the team member that you want to assign to the route from the list of all users associated with your Route4Me account and then tap “Yes” when prompted. Once the selected user is assigned to the route, the name and email of the assigned user are displayed under the name of the corresponding route on the “Routes” screen.

Alternatively, you can assign a team member to an opened route (current route). To do so, first, open the corresponding route from the “Routes” screen by tapping “Open Route” and selecting “Yes” when prompted.

Next, tap on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and then select “Assign User” from the menu. After that, select the team member that you want to assign to the route accordingly.

Next, tap “Yes” when prompted to finish. Once the selected user is assigned to the route, the name and email of the assigned user are displayed under the name of the corresponding route on the “Routes” screen.

Route4Me provides near real-time data synchronization across all associated computer and mobile devices so that when a particular user is assigned to one or multiple routes using the Route4Me iOS or Android mobile apps, as well as the Route4Me Web Platform, all corresponding routes automatically become available on this user’s device(s) accordingly. As soon as a user is assigned to a planned route, they can start navigating that route instantly by using the in-app voice-guided navigation or any preferred third-party navigation app, such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, etc.
