Inserting Address Book Contacts into Your Routes on an Android Device

The Address Book is a centralized database of all contacts and addresses that are stored on your Route4Me account. You can easily include your Adresse Book contacts into different routes using your Android device. Being able to effortlessly insert your customers’ locations into planned routes on the go allows you to increase the mobility and flexibility of your business activities. Once one or multiple contacts are inserted into any route, this route is instantly updated and synchronized across all devices associated with your Route4Me account.

 

To insert an Address Book contact into a particular route, first, you need to open this route and make it the “Current Route.” To do so, go to “My Routes” from the navigation menu.

Next, tap on the route that you want to open.

Then, select the corresponding option from the route’s “Choose Action” menu.

Once you open the route, it becomes the “Current Route.”

Then, go to “Address Book” from the navigation menu to select the contact(s) that you want to insert into the current route.

Use the search bar at the top of the screen to navigate through the contacts in your Address Book. You can search for contacts by aliases, full or partial address names, custom data, etc.

Then, tap on the contact/address that you want to insert into the current route.

After that, select “Add to Current Route” from the contact’s menu.

Once the contact is successfully inserted into the current route, the corresponding notification will indicate so at the bottom of the screen.

To view the route into which the contact was inserted, go to “Stops” from the navigation menu to open the current route.

By default, the inserted contact is positioned as the last stop on the current route.

If you want to re-optimize the route and get the most efficient sequence of stops, tap on the corresponding button on the “Stops” screen. After optimization, the inserted contact will be placed on the most optimal position on the corresponding route.

Once one or multiple contacts are inserted into the route, this route is instantly updated and synchronized across all devices associated with your Route4Me account.
