Insert Search Groups Addresses into the Best Routes
Your Route4Me Address Book (List/Map) is a centralized database where you and your team members can securely store and manage the information about thousands of customers’ locations, depots, commercial facilities, warehouses, and any other relevant prospects or real-world locations. Route4Me’s Advanced Search Groups Add-On enables you to filter all your addresses and contacts right on the map using millions of flexible constraints. Advanced search groups can also be used for planning optimized routes, color coding addresses, downloading entire search groups, and more. Moreover, you can filter your addresses by virtually any preferred parameters and then insert them into already planned routes. Route4Me’s Dynamic Stop Insertion can automatically suggest the most time-efficient and cost-effective routes that are planned for a particular date and provide precise time and distance shift for each route.
To use advanced search groups for filtering your addresses and inserting them into the most optimal routes, first, go to “Address Book Map” from the navigation menu.
For filtering all addresses in your synchronized Address Book on the map, you can use your existing search groups (learn more) or create new ones. To create a new search group, click on the “Add New Group” button in the top left corner of the screen (learn more).
To view or edit the constraints of a particular existing search group, first, click on the name of this group to open it.
Once you open a particular search group, you can add more rules and groups to it, as well as change or delete the existing constraints. To learn more about modifying existing search groups, visit this page.
By default, the Address Book Map displays all addresses from your synchronized Address Book on the map (without search group constraints). To use a particular search group for filtering all addresses on the map, check the corresponding box next to it and then the addresses contained in this search group will be displayed on the map in the group’s color.
To insert a particular address from the corresponding search group into the best route, first, right-click on this address and then select “Insert Address into Best Route” from its menu.
Next, use the calendar to suggest the most optimal routes that are scheduled for the preferred date.
Then, select the position at which you want to insert the address into the best route (learn more below).
After that, Route4Me will provide precise metrics on how inserting the corresponding address will influence the time and distance of each suggested route. If the address that is being inserted and the suggested routes have time windows that violate one another, the “Violation” column will display the corresponding metrics.
To select the route into which you want to insert the address, check the corresponding radio button next to this route.
After selecting the preferred route, you can also modify the details of the address before inserting it into the route. In the “Adjust Location Details” tab, the system automatically displays all available details of the address that is being inserted. To modify this data, first, select the field that you want to change and then input the preferred value(s) respectively.
You can also add more data fields to the address before inserting it into the route. To do so, first, select the field that you want to add from the “Field” drop-down list and then input the preferred value(s) respectively.
After selecting the best route and adjusting the details of the address, click on the “Proceed” button to finish.
When you select the “Insert at Optimal Position” option, the address is inserted into the route at the most optimal position in terms of time and distance. (Click on the image below to zoom in ↓)
When you select the “Insert at Optimal Position After Last Visited” option, the address is inserted into the route at the most optimal position after the last stop that was marked as “Visited.” (Click on the image below to zoom in ↓)
When you select the “Insert at End of Route” option, the address is inserted into the route as the last stop (excluding the “End” stop for the “Roundtrip” routes). (Click on the image below to zoom in ↓)
When you select the “Insert at Beginning of Route” option, the address is inserted into the route as the first stop after the “Start.” (Click on the image below to zoom in ↓)
Route4Me provides near real-time data synchronization across all associated computer and mobile devices so that any changes made from the Route4Me Web Platform can be automatically synchronized with Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps in a matter of seconds. Thus, managers and dispatchers back at the office can insert addresses from advanced search groups into the best routes using the Web Platform and the drivers who are out in the field will be able to receive the corresponding updates on their mobile devices in real-time and swiftly make the needed adjustments.
