Android Route Data Export – Exporting Routes to Your Device and Google Drive Using Route4Me’s Android Route Planner
Route4Me’s Android Route Planner is designed to make your routing operations and transactions as fast and flexible as possible, allowing you to effortlessly plan, optimize, and navigate routes of any complexity on the go. Depending on the particular needs of your business or unique business model, as well as the used device(s), you may need to be able to export your routes in multiple file formats. With Route4Me’s Android app, you can download routes in the CSV file format right to the local storage on your Android device or export routes straight to your Google Drive as Google Sheets. Moreover, if you need to use your Route4Me optimized routes on dedicated GPS devices (i.e., Garmin, TomTom, etc.), Route4Me’s Android app enables you to export your routes in KML, GPX, or ITN file formats. The exported route data can be used for sharing with your team members, making reports, analyzing patterns in customers’ orders, and much more.
To export a particular route, first, go to “My Routes” from the navigation menu to open the list of all routes associated with your Route4Me account. Next, tap on the route that you want to export and then select “Export Route” from the route’s menu.
Exporting Routes to the Local Storage on Your Android Device
To export the route’s data to the local storage on your Android device as a CSV file, select the “Export CSV” option from the menu.
Exporting Routes as Google Sheets (Export to Google Drive)
To export the route’s data to your Google Drive as a Google Sheets file, first, select the “Export as Google Spreadsheet” option from the menu. Next, navigate through the folders on your Google Drive and tap “Select” within the folder into which you want to export the route.
After that, the selected route will be exported into the corresponding folder on your Google Drive, allowing you to access it from any preferred computer or mobile device using your Google Account credentials.
Exporting Routes for GPS Navigation Devices
Route4Me’s Android Route Planner allows you to export your routes in the file formats that can be uploaded into the corresponding GPS navigation devices. To export the route’s data as a KML, GPX, or TomTom (ITN) file, select the preferred option from the menu.
Exporting High-Resolution Route Images
To export a high-resolution image of the route, select the “Export Route Map Picture” option from the menu and the exported route image will be automatically added to the “Exported Routes” folder in the Photos app on your Android device.
Viewing the Files Exported from the Route4Me Android App
To access all route data files downloaded from the Route4Me app to the local storage on your Android device, first, go to the “Files” app on your Android device. Next, go to “Downloads” and then select “Route4Me” from the list.
After that, go to the “Exported Routes” folder where you can find all routes that were exported from the Route4Me app into the local storage on your Android device.
