Adding Notes to Route Stops on Android Devices
With Route4Me’s Android app, you are able to add notes to any destination on your routes. Notes can contain delivery or pick-up statuses, descriptive text, uploaded images, captured signatures, and more. When out in the field, adding notes to stops allows you and your field employees to document all performed routing and logistics operations, as well as capture all important information to make sure that you are always on the same page with your team members and your customers. To add one or multiple notes to your route stops, first, open the route that contains the corresponding stops. To do so, go to “My Routes” from the navigation menu, tap on the route that you want to open and then select “Open Route” from the “Choose Action” menu.
To add a note to a particular stop, first, tap on this stop and then select “Add Note” from the stop’s menu.
Alternatively, tap on the note icon next to the stop to which you want to add one or multiple notes.
On the “Add Note” screen, first, select the status for the note. To do so, tap on the current status of the note and then select the preferred status from the list.
To make sure that you always have the proof of completing your orders, Route4Me’s Android app enables you to attach photos to your notes. To take a photo and add it directly to the note, first, tap on the “Capture Picture” button and then use the camera app on your device to capture the preferred image. Once the image is captured, it is added to the note and displayed accordingly on the “Add Note” screen (max 50 MB per image).
To attach an image from the local storage on your Android device to the note, first, tap on the “Select from Photo Gallery” button and then navigate through your device’s library to find and attach the preferred photo to the note (max 50 MB per image). Once the image is added to the note, it is displayed accordingly on the “Add Note” screen.
Route4Me’s Android app can capture your customers’ signatures to increase the security of your routing operations and logistics transactions. To capture a signature, first, tap on the “Sign on Glass” button, next, use the white screen to sign and then tap on the “Done” button to save the captured signature. Once the signature is added to the note, it is displayed accordingly on the “Add Note” screen.
NOTE: You can add either one photo or one signature to one note. If you need to add multiple signatures or multiple photos to a single route stop, you can add multiple notes to this stop accordingly.
To add custom text to the note, first, tap on the corresponding text area and then input the preferred text accordingly (max 1000 symbols).
To fill out or edit the note’s Custom Data, use the corresponding fields in the “Custom Data” section. Custom Data fields can be created from the Route4Me Web Platform and then the values for these fields can be filled out or edited from the Route4Me mobile apps accordingly (learn more).
To save the note with all attached information and add it to the corresponding stop, tap on the checkmark icon in the top right corner of the “Add Note” screen.
Once the note is added to the stop, the note icon next to the corresponding stop indicates so with the number of all notes added to this stop.
To view all notes added to a particular stop, first, tap on this stop and then select “Show Notes” from the stop’s menu.
To open a particular added note, tap on this note on the “Notes” screen and then you can view all information saved in the opened note accordingly.
