Adding Notes to a Stop on an Android Device
Route4Me’s Android app allows you to add notes for any destination on your routes. Notes can contain delivery statuses, descriptive text, uploaded images and signatures. Adding notes to stops helps to document important information about performed routing activities and make sure that you are always on the same page with your team members and your customers. To add a note to a stop with your Android device, first, go to the “Stops” screen and tap on a stop to bring up the options menu.
In the “Choose Action” menu, tap “Add Note.”
Selecting a Note Status
Tap on the drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
Select one of the corresponding statuses by tapping on it. By default, the note’s status is set to “Pickup Occurred.”
Adding an Images to a Note
You can take a new picture and add it to the note directly. Alternatively, you can upload one of the images saved on your Android device.
To take a new photo, tap the “Capture Picture” button.
To upload a photo from your Android device, tap on the image icon at the top of the screen, then select one of the media files on your device.
NOTE: You can add only one picture per note. If you need to add more than one image to a stop, you can create multiple notes. An image has a file size upload limitation of 50MB.
Adding a Signature to a Note
Route4Me’s Android app can capture signatures of your clients to improve the security of your route planning activities.
To add a signature to a note, tap “Sign on Glass.”
Signatures can be written by signing with a finger or a capacitive stylus onto the white area. Tap “Clear” if you need to erase the current signature and sign again. To finish and add the signature to the note, tap “Done” in the top right corner of the screen.
NOTE: You can add only one signature per note. If you need to add more than one signature to a stop, you can create multiple notes.
Adding Text to a Note
To add custom text to a note, tap on the area below the “Sign on Glass” button and type in the content. The text box should contain no more than 1000 symbols.
Adding Custom Data to a Note
Custom data fields are normally created by dispatches and values in them can be modified from within the mobile app by drivers. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, then fill in the values accordingly.
Saving a Note
To save a note, tap the check mark in the top-right corner of the screen.
Viewing Added Notes
The stops that contain notes are displayed with a corresponding icon on the “Stops” screen.
Tap on a stop and select “Show Notes” from the “Choose Action” menu.
Tap on the note to open it and view its content.
You can not modify added notes. If you need to add more information about a stop, you can add multiple notes. Tap the “+” icon at the top of the screen to add a new note.
