Account Preferences – Distance Units, Language, Time Zone

Route4Me is an international route planning and optimization platform that is used in many countries around the world by different businesses of different sizes, from construction and food delivery to garbage collection and pest control. To make sure that your Route4Me solution provides you with a frictionless and comfortable user experience, you can adjust your Route4Me Web Account settings to show your routing data in the preferred format. To adjust your Route4Me Web Account Preferences, first, go to “Account Settings” from the navigation menu and then scroll to the “Preferences” section.

Distance Units

In the “Distance Units” sub-section, you can select miles or kilometers as the primary distance units for your Route4Me Web Account.

Once you select miles or kilometers as the primary distance units for your Route4Me Web Account, all distance metrics in all user interfaces of your account will be automatically converted and displayed in the selected distance units.

Fuel Consumption Units

In the “Fuel Consumption Units” sub-section, you can select the following fuel consumption units for your Route4Me Web Account: Miles per gallon (US), Miles per gallon (UK), Liters per 100 kilometers, Kilometers per liter, or Miles per liter.

After changing your fuel consumption units, when creating new (learn more) or editing the existing (learn more) fleet vehicles, in the “Fuel” section, you can select/modify the following settings:

• – Fuel Type: Unleaded 87, Unleaded 89, Unleaded 91, Unleaded 93, Diesel, Electric, or Hybrid;
• – City, mpg (or other selected units): Average fuel consumption in the city;
• – Highway, mpg (or other selected units): Average fuel consumption on the highway.

Preferred Language Settings

In the “Preferred Language” sub-section, you can select the preferred language for your Route4Me Web Account. To learn more about the languages supported on the Route4Me Web Platform and Route4Me’s iOS and Android mobile apps, visit this page.

Time Zone Settings

In the “My Timezone” sub-section, you can select the time zone in which you conduct your business operations. NOTE: By default, the time zone for your Route4Me Web Account is selected automatically based on the settings of your internet browser (regardless of the time zone selected in your Account Settings).

NOTE: The selected time zone in your Route4Me Web Account is used for setting up Time Windows. Thus, you can be located in a particular time zone and plan routes with time windows in the area with a different time zone and Route4Me will set up these time windows based on the time of the time zone selected in your Account Settings. To learn more about Route4Me’s Time Windows Advanced Constraint, visit this page.
