Account Owner Route4Me User Type
Route4Me’s user hierarchy includes the following key user types: Account Owner, Administrator, Regional Manager, Route Planner, Dispatcher, Analyst, and Driver. By default, each user type has their own set of default account-level permissions for interacting with the Platform and other users. The role of each user type can be interpreted in your own way, depending on the particular needs of your business or unique business model. Thus, you can assign different user types (except for the Account Owner) to different team members according to their role within your business environment or choose the one that is the closest in terms of duties and responsibilities.
The Account Owner is the primary user that has created the primary Route4Me account. The Account Owner has global permissions on the primary Route4Me account accordingly. All user types are branched under the Account Owner and the Account Owner can create and manage all user types.
The Account Owner can see and modify all sub-users that are associated with the primary Route4Me account, create new sub-users and link them to the existing sub-users, delete the existing sub-users, as well as view routes of all sub-users.
The Account Owner can log into any team member account associated with the primary Route4Me account. To do so, as the Account Owner, click on the three dots menu icon next to the user whose account you want to log into and then select “Edit” from the menu. After that, update the user’s credentials (password only) and then use the new credentials for logging into this user’s account.
The Account Owner can create new sub-users with all user types and link them to any existing user(s). Moreover, the Account Owner can use the multiple user invitation form for inviting several users at a time with the ability to pre-assign any user type to each invitee (learn more).
The Account Owner can control the Global Routes List, Global Address Book, Global Orders List, and all other data that is generated by each user associated with the primary Route4Me account. The routes that have assigned users are marked with these users’ email addresses. The routes that have the Account Owner assigned to them are not marked when logged in as the Account Owner.
The Account Owner can track the activities of all users associated with the primary Route4Me account through the Activity Feed (learn more), view the tracking history of each user (learn more), use Route4Me’s analytics tools for viewing users’ statistics, and more.
Only the Account Owner can change the settings of the primary Route4Me account, view and modify the account’s billing information, update the subscription plan, and perform all other activities related to managing the core account.
